In June 2015, PNE WIND UK Limited was acquired by Brookfield Renewable, and is now known as Brookfield Renewable UK Limited. All materials and applications related to projects will now be under the Brookfield brand.
We are currently working in close partnership with the Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) to bring forward proposals for the Tay Forest District Wind Farm- Elrick, on land North West of Birnam.
We have been undertaking a range of feasibility assessments to understand the suitability of the site for wind farm development. We are now able to progress with the comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which includes bird, mammal, habitat and landscape surveys. This will help us to ensure the Wind Farm will feature a design sensitive to the natural features of the site. The findings of the EIA will be presented as an Environmental Statement (ES), which we would submit alongside our planning application.
There is currently an 80metre Meteorological Mast on the Tay Forest District Wind Farm- Elrick site. The application (ref: 13/01925/FLL) can be found here.
