Edinburgh based renewable energy company, PNE WIND UK, welcomed local residents to two public consultation exhibitions in Dunoon and Rothesay last week, where they could learn more about proposals to develop the Cowal and Trossachs Forest District Wind Farm- Bachan Burn.
Visitors to the displays were able to meet representatives from PNE and Forestry Commission Scotland, who were on hand to answer questions about the plans and view a 3D computer model of the proposals.
Katie Newlands, Communications Manager for PNE WIND UK, commented:
"We were delighted with the number of people who attended the exhibitions and viewed out initial proposals for the Cowal & Trossachs Forest District Wind Farm- Bachan Burn. The events provided local residents and community groups with an opportunity to meet the PNE and Forestry Commission Scotland project team and learn more about how they can become involved in the project.
The level of interest in our proposals is encouraging and we will continue to keep the local community informed as the project progresses. In the meantime, people can visit out website www.bachanburnwindfarm.co.uk for further information or call 0203 128 8938 should they have any questions."
